The official Mac version needs M1 or later, at least 16 GB memory and macOS 15.5+. Install it on an SSD. Begin with the “For this Mac” preset, then adjust from that baseline.

Use the chip and memory shown in About This Mac. A higher external-display resolution is a separate workload; do not read the table as a promise for every screen and setting.
Start with “For this Mac”
Select the hardware-based preset
Open the game’s graphics settings and select “For this Mac”. It assigns settings and resolution for the hardware, rather than one identical configuration for all Macs.
You have a known baseline before changing individual settings.
Keep the assigned resolution first
Try a representative scene at that resolution. On an external display, first compare the assigned game resolution rather than automatically selecting the panel’s highest resolution.
You can compare later changes against the same scene and initial settings.
Change one setting at a time
If you enable ray tracing manually, compare it separately. The default preset leaves ray tracing off on every configuration.
You know which setting changed the visual result or responsiveness.
Keep a working baseline
Run the unmodified game once before adding frameworks or scripts. For launch, performance or installation failures, the official Mac support hub separates those cases. Choose a Mac article rather than applying a Windows directory or graphics-driver instruction.
