Mac Native Games Guide

Sources and method

Each practical answer is connected to project source, official documentation or a scoped report. The tools assemble text from versioned rules.

Match the source to the question

Project source
Build parameters, default paths, accepted inputs and configuration syntax.
Stores and publishers
Mac versions, minimum systems, installation size and purchases.
Project issues
The reported error, affected version, maintainer response and current status.
Performance reports
Device, version, scene, rendering and cache conditions. Publisher targets are different from measured results.

How the tools are checked

  1. Fix a revision. TOTK rules use MacNativeGames b75be8c.
  2. Compare independent examples. Build commands are checked against the README and real argument parser, including quoting and invalid combinations.
  3. Use the original controller parser. Generated files are compared with the project’s C parser, separately from this site’s JavaScript implementation.
  4. Check the interface. Input editing, errors, downloads and copying need browser checks of their own.

A command check and a game test answer different questions

Checking the text establishes syntax and rule handling. It does not establish that a game file is valid or that a complete game session will finish.

The guide does not claim original gameplay benchmarks. Missing device results are not extrapolated from other chips. Reported results retain their source and conditions.

Images and illustrations

Game covers identify the games. The D2R artwork comes from Blizzard’s official game site; Cyberpunk 2077 and Death Stranding covers come from their publisher store listings, and Resident Evil 4 uses its App Store artwork.

The sky islands, ocarina and clock tower are original AI-generated editorial illustrations. Operation images come from Apple, the Ship of Harkinian setup guide or the linked Andrew Tsai walkthrough. Their captions explain the action and context.

Projects and original documentation

When an answer needs checking again

  • A project changes accepted files, arguments, paths or configuration syntax.
  • A release or store changes platform support or requirements.
  • An issue gains a fix or evidence that changes recovery.

Update notes explain the effect and whether rebuilding is relevant. We update the relevant instructions when those changes affect them.
