Mac Native Games Guide
About this guide
A practical guide to playing specific games natively on Apple silicon Macs, with source-based build help and controller tools.
Start with the game and the task
- Compare store versions, source ports, recompiled programs and local builders.
- Prepare the correct files and requirements before starting a build.
- Get a command or controller file, then follow its installation and recovery steps.
The game directory brings the routes together. The two current tools focus on Tears of the Kingdom.
Independent of the projects and publishers
This guide is not affiliated with MacNativeGames, Apple, Nintendo, Blizzard, CD PROJEKT RED, 505 Games, Capcom or the community projects described here. Names identify the software discussed.
The site does not distribute games, keys, firmware, fonts or apps built from game data, and does not provide a build service. Project code licenses do not grant rights to game assets.
How we prepare the guides
We turn project documentation, developer guidance and original reports into practical game guides. Requirements, commands, paths and recovery steps are reviewed against the relevant version. Tool output is checked against the project’s file format and parser.
Our editorial review is separate from playing a game on real hardware. Performance records name the device and source; installation illustrations and real operation images have distinct roles. We keep the detailed sources and methods on the sources page, with specific citations beside reports that need them. Editorial edition: 20 October 2026.
Follow the original source
Requirements, paths and versions link to the project, store or publisher. Sources and method explains the tool rules and verification.
For a game-project bug, use its own issue tracker linked from the entry. Those trackers are operated by the projects.
